Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and review overhead and underground distribution systems from 4 kV to 69 kV. You will develop and review projects, ensure compliance with client standards, and coordinate design teams for budgets and deliverables.

The role supports utility design efforts with CAD tools, GIS, and design platforms, and involves collaboration with construction teams in Birmingham, AL. Remote-friendly with permanent placement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of utility, telecom, joint use, or make-ready design experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects.
• Design complex distribution projects in urban and rural environments per specs.
• Coordinate small design teams to develop budgets, scoping documents, and deliverables.
• Provide engineering support during construction and attend meetings as needed.
• Interpret codes and develop construction standards.
