Job summary

ProLiteracy Worldwide is seeking a Distance Learning Program Coordinator to enroll and onboard adult learners through New Readers Press distance learning. You will guide learners through registration, orientation, diagnostics, and class placement, preparing them for success in their educational journey.

The role supports a diverse learner population, requiring flexible, organized communication and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience in program coordination, student enrollment, or customer success for distance educational programming in an online environment
• Experience in adult education or workforce development preferred
• Experience with GED/HiSET education coordination preferred
• Ability to provide students with personalized assistance through clear, professional, and positive communication
• Experience with digital curriculum platforms, student information systems, or case management software
• Flexible and organized with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Motivated self-starter, takes initiative, and works well both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment
• Flex schedule with occasional evening orientation sessions required

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the New Readers Press distance learning programs
• Guide distance learning students through onboarding and enrollment including registration, orientation, diagnostic assessment, and class placement
• Ensure timely and successful delivery of student onboarding and enrollment based on established processes and metrics
• Collaborate with staff and tutors to provide student support and monitor student progress using digital tools
• Monitor and analyze usage and data trends to communicate successes and identify strategies to increase student success
• Assist in development of new processes and procedures for distance learning programs
• Assist with hiring and training tutors for online classes
