Job summary

ProLiteracy Worldwide in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Professional Learning Manager to develop, coordinate, and deliver high-quality professional learning for adult literacy practitioners. You will work with the Director of Professional Development and external partners to ensure engaging, relevant, and well-managed offerings.

The role involves designing online courses, coordinating facilitators, and managing projects from planning to completion, with a hybrid 3 days on-site/2 days remote option

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in adult education, professional development, instructional design, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, adult learning, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience designing and facilitating engaging professional learning for adults, virtually and/or in person.
• Experience developing online courses, training materials, curricula, or other resources for in-person or virtual delivery.
• Strong project management skills coordinating multiple projects, contributors, timelines, and deliverables.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and effective instructional practices.
• Experience in adult literacy or adult basic education preferred.
• Strong writing, communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with virtual learning, project management, office productivity; LMS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver virtual and in-person professional learning for adult education practitioners on various topics.
• Manage and support external facilitators and subject matter experts in delivery of learning, including session design and materials.
• Coordinate technology, logistics, participant communications, and other delivery elements.
• Provide feedback to improve quality and consistency of professional learning.
• Design and develop online courses, training materials, and other resources.
• Manage external course developers and experts, including timelines, deliverables, and quality reviews.
• Oversee professional development projects from planning through completion, including plans, timelines, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development and other departments to improve offerings.
