Carolina Biological Supply Company is seeking a Distance Learning Content Development Specialist to own the hands-on and print content pipeline and collaborate with the Distance Learning Product Development Manager on new lab offerings.

You will write, edit, and review content to ensure safety, clarity, and reproducibility for home environments, while supporting the sales team with research-driven content that addresses customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in biology, chemistry, physics, science education, curriculum and/or instruction or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years college-level science teaching and 3 years lab content development experience; distance education or online teaching desirable.
• Experience writing or editing lab procedures for home/remote use is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Writes, edits, and reviews hands-on and print content for college, high school, and dual enrollment distance learning courses.
• Reviews and updates current content to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with customer needs.
• Develops new content and designs new lab investigations based on customer requests from the sales team.
• Manages the development of hands-on and print content, including pipeline, SME network, review, release, safety and reproducibility.
• Accounts for on-time content readiness at product launch.
• Recruits, contracts, and manages external SMEs and consultants for curriculum development.
• Assigns work to external experts, sets due dates, and ensures deadlines and standards are met.
• Provides testing, content review, and SME input to resolve customer content issues.
• Runs internal update and review processes for materials.
• Ensures WCAG 2.1 AA and other ADA accessibility compliance for print and hands-on content.
