The role requires EMT licensure, hospital or clinical experience, and strong communication with hospital staff and transport providers to ensure timely, safe transport while maintaining accurate data entry in patient records and center systems.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in hospital/clinical settings.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to transport needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet research and clinical databases.
• Understanding of state/federal regulatory requirements for ambulance transports.
• Ability to document accurately in patient records and center workflow systems.

Responsibilities

• Arrange transport for discharged patients per facility and market needs.
• Collect and validate patient status information and transport requests.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and transport providers for timely transport.
• Maintain professional, customer-centric communication with callers and colleagues.
• Document ETAs and transport events across systems, updating as needed.
• Prioritize calls and manage multiple tasks to meet clinical needs.
