Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Discharge Transport EMT to coordinate patient transport for discharges across facilities within our network. You will work with hospitals and transport providers to match patient needs with available services and ensure timely arrangements.

You will collaborate with hospital staff and transport companies, using strong communication to manage ETAs, document data accurately, and support efficient discharge workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical or hospital experience required.
• EMT Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic licensure required.
• Call Center/Transfer Center experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state/federal ambulance transport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discharge transport coordination for patients being discharged from HCA facilities.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and transport companies to ensure timely transport arrangements.
• Maintain accurate data in patient records and center workflow systems.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, dispatch teams, and PLC coordinators.
