Job summary

Assets Under Movement is seeking a Fund Director for REBUILD.US to lead fundraising and grantmaking strategy, building a broad donor base across geographies and socio‑economic backgrounds to channel millions for immediate relief and long‑term organizing.

Reporting to the Founder and the Executive Director of Organizing Resilience, the role requires turning vision into measurable goals, leading rapid activations, and aligning with partners while scaling from startup to impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, or political campaigns at senior leadership level.
• Demonstrated ability to build, launch and scale startups or major initiatives.
• Experience leading remote, high-performing teams across disciplines.
• Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
• Robust network of relationships across philanthropy, labor, organizing and policy.
• Strategic thinker with ability to move from ideation to implementation.
• Deep commitment to disaster-impacted communities and survivor-centered approaches.
• Exceptional relationship-building with staff, funders, partners, and media.

Responsibilities

• Translate North Star goals into strategic and tactical plans with clear milestones.
• Provide day-to-day leadership aligning fundraising, grantmaking, partnerships, and communications.
• Oversee budget, reporting, and resource allocation to support rapid-response activations.
• Lead and coordinate staff, consultants, and vendors to reach program area goals.
• Represent REBUILD.US with donors, partners, movement leaders, and stakeholders.
