You will shape the organization’s narrative, manage multi‑platform content, and collaborate with a diverse team to accelerate organizing, fundraising, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in senior communications, editorial, or narrative strategy roles.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplin ary teams that include digital, brand, media relations, and content.
• Experience translating strategy into editorial output that shifts public attitudes or policy.
• Survivor-centered, justice-oriented approach to recovery is a strong plus.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with broad audience appeal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategy aligned with organizational priorities and narrative goals.
• Translate strategy into day-to-day plans with clear systems, workflows, and expectations.
• Create strategies for rapid-response climate moments and long-term blue-sky periods.
• Advance organizing, fundraising, advocacy, and brand-building goals through communications.
• Lead lean-startup style testing and iterative improvement across the program.
• Manage staff, partners, and vendors; align teams to strategic priorities.
• Maintain editorial and brand standards while ensuring urgency during rapid responses.
• Collaborate with NewWorld and internal teams to ensure a consistent voice across channels.
• Oversee content lifecycle from strategy to production and distribution.
• Help shape organizational leadership, culture, and cross-team alignment.
