Job summary

Assets Under Movement (AUM) seeks a Fund Director to build the broadest donor base for disaster relief and long-term organizing. You will translate vision into measurable plans, lead rapid-response activations, and drive fundraising and grantmaking toward a 10% share of private philanthropic disaster dollars.

The role requires a senior nonprofit leader capable of managing multi-million budgets, remote teams, and cross-organization partnerships, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in nonprofit/philanthropy leadership.
• Experience building, launching and scaling startups or major initiatives.
• Experience leading a remote, high-performing team and managing multi-million budgets.
• Strong network across philanthropy, labor, organizing or policy sectors.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising and grantmaking across major donors, institutional giving, grassroots, and digital channels.
• Oversee budgeting, operations, and reporting with the Organizing Resilience team.
• Represent the organization to donors, partners, movement leaders, and media.
• Develop scale-ready plans, test hypotheses, and drive performance toward the North Star goal.
