Job summary

Assets Under Movement (AUM+) seeks a Communications Director to join REBUILD.US's senior leadership team. You will design and execute comprehensive communications, narrative, and brand-building strategies to advance a multi-racial, pro-democracy agenda and to leverage climate-disaster windows for political, economic, and social change.

The role requires leading a diverse team across digital, media relations, content, and brand.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in senior communications, editorial, or narrative strategy roles.
• 2+ years of experience supervising direct reports.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to craft materials with mass appeal.
• Experience with disaster response, climate disaster, or survivor communities is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategy aligned with organizational priorities, theory of change, brand and narrative strategies.
• Lead a cross-functional team spanning digital, brand, media relations, content, and design to execute a powerful communications program.
• Manage a comprehensive communications program during climate disaster rapid response and blue sky periods to power organizing, fundraising, and advocacy campaigns.
• Build processes to maintain strong editorial and brand standards while responding quickly during rapid response moments.
• Serve as a senior leader shaping the organization’s strategic direction and culture.
