Job summary

BeneSys, Inc. is seeking a Specialty Claims Analyst to process Disability, SUB, Flex and Death claims remotely. You will support members via email, fax, or mail and ensure timely payments per plan rules.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Eligibility and Pension, generating weekly reports, preventing overpayments, and upholding quality standards. A high school diploma and two years of medical claims experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a related field
• Skilled in medical claims processing and knowledge of medical terminology
• Good reasoning and phone skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Process Flex claims in a timely manner according to plan rules
• Coordinate with Eligibility re: payouts for SUB and Disability
• Prepare and send Disability and SUB reports weekly
• Determine benefits for multiple groups and retrieve required documentation
• Prevent overpayments; request refunds when needed
• Run weekly checks for SUB, Disability, Flex and Death benefits and coordinate with accounting on check releases
• Process stop payments, voids and refunds for all benefit types
• Provide back-up for Customer Service and Eligibility; take calls in the assigned queue
• Research payments per plan rules and respond to member inquiries
• Process death applications and gather info for life insurance carriers
• Maintain claims processing quality standards (≥98%) and turnaround times
• Support Plan Manager/Associates as needed
• Maintain regular attendance
