Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a skilled Claims Team Lead to supervise multiple examiner teams and guide disability claim adjudication across jurisdictions. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and ensuring compliance with client requirements.

The position requires a strong background in claims management, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex, high-exposure files while maintaining service quality and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Six years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of claims supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; licenses as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Strong knowledge of claims management processes for disability.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and technical staff.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Monitors workload and compiles management reports.
• Performs quality review on claims to meet audit and quality standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues; implements final disposition.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims and litigated claims as needed.
• Maintains client relationships and communicates claim status as requested.
• Ensures reports and files are properly documented and licensed in the serviced jurisdictions.
• Travels as required.
