Qualifications

• 10+ years IT infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity engineering, platform engineering, or related experience with security monitoring and telemetry
• 2+ years IT management experience
• 5+ years progressive leadership in cybersecurity/infrastructure/platform functions
• Ability to build and execute technology roadmaps and modernization initiatives
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Excellent communication to translate technical concepts for leadership
• Experience managing vendor relationships, evaluations, and licensing strategies
• Insurance or financial services knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, roadmap, and maturity of SOC Engineering services (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, telemetry, observability, automation)
• Own administration, reliability, lifecycle, and continuous improvement of security monitoring platforms
• Ensure availability, resiliency, scalability, and security objectives
• Provide leadership for platform engineering and detection capabilities supporting Security Operations
• Establish engineering standards and service management practices
• Drive modernization and automation to improve efficiency and cyber resilience
• Develop technology roadmaps, budgets, vendor relationships, licensing strategies
• Collaborate with Security Operations and enterprise tech teams to integrate monitoring capabilities
• Set service metrics and performance indicators to drive accountability
• Build and retain high-performing engineering teams
• Lead during major incidents, resiliency exercises, audits, and strategic initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
