Job summary

Townsquare Media is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead external reporting, maintain compliance, and advance controls in a remote-capable role. You will own SEC filings, coordinate with IR, assist with proxy statements, stay ahead of new rules, and supervise a team while driving process improvements and use of analytics/AI.

Responsibilities include owning the SEC reporting process, including the Financial Reporting SOX narrative and inline XBRL tagging,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and SEC reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules (Regulation S-X and S-K).
• Experience supervising staff and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and own SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related financial statements.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations on earnings releases and non-GAAP reconciliations.
• Stay current on new SEC rules and FASB standards.
• Own SOX narrative and key controls; coordinate with Internal Audit.
• Lead inline XBRL tagging and disclosure checklists.
• Prepare Audit Committee materials and liaise with external auditors.
