Optum is seeking a Director of Rebate Strategy and Operations to own the enterprise operating model for manufacturer-funded medical benefit rebates across the organization.

The role requires building scalable governance, managing eligibility and attestation, and ensuring compliant, financially accountable execution with cross-functional partners including Pharmacy, Finance, Analytics, and Compliance. This remote role can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in pharmaceutical rebates, manufacturer programs, or related healthcare value functions.
• 5+ years of people leadership in complex operations or governance.
• Experience owning operating models, governance, controls, and execution in cross-functional programs.
• Experience leading programs with measurable financial accountability and value capture.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and drive enterprise alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own rebate strategy and operating model across rebate programs.
• Establish scalable governance, policies, controls, and reporting structures.
• Oversee eligibility, attestation governance, and product mapping frameworks.
• Lead program administration, onboarding, and vendor relationships.
