Ladders is seeking a Director of Quality Engineering, Patient Services & Pharmacy to lead quality engineering strategy across a defined portfolio in healthcare, ensuring delivery, stability, and continuous improvement within a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering, quality engineering, testing, or related fields.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in quality engineering or software delivery teams.
• Experience managing quality engineering across multiple Agile teams or complex portfolios.
• Proven track record in quality engineering modernization, including automation and metrics-driven execution.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with various testing approaches including API, UI, and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering strategy and execution across a defined portfolio
• Develop quality engineering managers and teams, focusing on talent growth and performance
• Establish quality goals, KPIs, and governance for improved delivery and stability
• Embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Oversee test strategy and execution across various testing types
• Manage portfolio-level quality risk, including defect trends and release concerns
• Drive automation-first practices and integrate quality signals into CI/CD pipelines
• Promote AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities and innovative practices
