Job summary

Summit Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director, Oncology Clinical Educators to lead national and regional payer engagement, access strategies, and reimbursement for our oncology portfolio. This remote-field role in the US reports to the Executive Director, Payer Strategic Accounts, and partners with Medical Affairs and Patient Services to align product value with payer requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years biotech/pharmaceutical experience
• 5+ years of focused account management experience in the oncology access marketplace
• Demonstrated success engaging with US payers, MACs, PBMs, and IDNs
• Strong understanding of the US healthcare payer/access landscape and regulatory environment
• Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Travel: ability to travel to support business priorities as needed

Responsibilities

• Establish, broaden, and deepen relationships with target payers and decision makers that affect coverage and reimbursement decisions.
• Influence policies, guidelines, and contracts to facilitate coverage and access for our products.
• Implement Brand access strategies and develop account-specific plans.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs to communicate drug candidates to payers.
• Coordinate with Patient Services to support patient journey and resolve coverage issues.
• Assist Regional Sales with payer-based pull- or sell-through strategies.
• Develop relationships with Formulary, P&T, and Pathway leaders to secure access and product positioning.
