Job summary

Prime Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Underwriting to lead multiple underwriting teams, shape pricing strategy, and drive financial analysis and competitive proposals. This role oversees underwriting operations across client segments while ensuring financial performance, market competitiveness, and standardized practices.

The Director partners with Blue Plan Underwriting, Sales, Legal and Client Engagement to ensure accurate bids, proper terms, and sustainable margins.

Qualifications

• 8 years of underwriting, healthcare finance, pricing, consulting, actuarial, or related experience.
• 5 years of leadership/people management experience.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic direction and day-to-day guidance to underwriting managers.
• Develops and executes ASO pricing and margin strategies with leadership.
• Oversees and coordinates underwriting workflow across teams.
• Ensures complete and accurate bids with pertinent definitions and caveats.
• Confers with Legal and Client Engagement to ensure terms support the deal.
• Ensures SOPs, tracking, and documentation; partners on staffing and metrics.
• Provides direct support to Blue Plan Leadership.

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Accounting/Finance
