Job summary

ACS Professional Staffing seeks a Director of Transmission Line Engineering to lead planning, design and execution of transmission line projects for national clients. You will head multidisciplinary teams, oversee QA/QC, safety, regulatory compliance and client relationships across the US.

The role requires a PE license, ABET degree, 12+ years HV experience, and expertise with PLS tools. Remote work is available nationwide in the United States.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 12+ years in electric utility engineering or management for HV projects.
• Active PE license; California license a plus.
• Experience managing project financials and P&L.
• Experience leading a team to produce transmission designs.
• Knowledge of PLS CADD, PLS Pole, MFAD, PLS-Tower.

Responsibilities

• Act as engineer of record and client contact for power delivery projects.
• Lead a team of 6-10 direct reports and a 30-40 member extended team.
• Assist in marketing and business development efforts for national clients.
• Prepare, review, and seal technical reports and construction documents.
• Design transmission lines using industry-standard tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project success.
• Manage multiple projects with QA/QC oversight.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Develop construction packages and oversee project budgets and schedules.
