Prestige School Solutions is seeking a Director of Payroll to lead the Payroll Value Stream and manage payroll delivery for charter school clients nationwide. This fully remote role oversees payroll operations and drives standardization, accuracy, and client satisfaction across states with occasional travel for engagements.

• Over 10+ years in progressive payroll leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage/hour laws, and compliance.
• Experience leading multi-state payroll operations and growth initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead leaders and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations for a growing portfolio of clients and internal staff.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing across frequencies, entities, and states.
• Establish and maintain payroll quality controls, procedures, and audits.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Develop a scalable service delivery strategy to support growth across jurisdictions.
