Job summary

Gryphon Oakwood is seeking a Remote Director of Operations for Electrical Construction to oversee multi-site projects across the United States. You will drive operational excellence, lead project executives and managers, and ensure safety, scheduling, budgets, and quality meet client expectations.

This senior leadership role requires 10+ years in electrical construction, a proven track record in P&L control and team development, and willingness to travel regularly to project sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical construction experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership position overseeing electrical construction projects and teams.
• Proven success managing multiple large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
• Strong financial expertise across P&L management, forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
• Ability to travel regularly to project sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple electrical construction projects and project management teams.
• Oversee financial performance, including P&L management, revenue forecasting, cost control, margins, profitability, and overall project financials.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, and operational leadership teams.
• Direct project execution to ensure delivery across safety, scheduling, budgets, quality, and client expectations.
• Oversee project planning, manpower allocation, procurement, and resource management across multiple locations.
• Provide executive oversight of estimating, change management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with preconstruction, VDC, prefabrication, and field leadership to improve operational efficiency and project delivery.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and key industry partners.
• Implement consistent operational processes, financial controls, and reporting standards while identifying opportunities for business improvement and growth.
