Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple electrical construction projects and project management teams.
• Oversee financial performance, including P&L management, revenue forecasting, cost control, margins, profitability, and overall project financials.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, and operational leadership teams.
• Direct project execution to ensure delivery across safety, scheduling, budgets, quality, and client expectations.
• Oversee project planning, manpower allocation, procurement, and resource management across multiple locations.

Gryphon Oakwood is partnering with a leading electrical contractor to appoint an experienced Director of Operations to oversee electrical construction operations across multiple projects and locations throughout the United States.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished electrical construction professional with a proven background in operational management, financial performance, project execution, and team development. The successful candidate will take responsibility for driving operational excellence, leading project teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects while supporting the organization's continued growth.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of electrical construction experience, including significant operational and project management responsibilities
• 5+ years in a senior leadership position overseeing electrical construction projects and teams
• Proven success managing multiple large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects
• Strong financial expertise across P&L management, forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and profitability
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage large project management and operational teams
• Extensive knowledge of electrical construction operations, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and change management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
• Ability to work remotely with regular travel to project sites and regional offices throughout the United States

Preferred Experience:

• Experience at Sr Project Manager or Project Executive level within electrical construction
• Background delivering projects across Mission Critical, Data Center, Industrial, or complex electrical infrastructure markets
• Experience overseeing multi-state operations and large project portfolios
• Strong understanding of preconstruction, VDC, prefabrication, and field technology
• Familiarity with scheduling platforms including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Proven ability to improve operational performance, develop leadership teams, and support business expansion
