Job summary

Emmes is seeking a Director of Business Development for CRO services and software solutions, ideally remote on the US East Coast. The role targets expanding revenue from CRO services and technology platforms, including AI-driven analytics, with a focus on pharma, biotech, government, and academia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Technology, or related discipline.
• MBA, MS, MPH or equivalent preferred.
• 8–10 years of business development, sales, or commercial leadership experience.
• Proven success selling CRO services, clinical technology, SaaS, or healthcare tech.

Responsibilities

• Drive net-new business growth by securing new customers and expanding existing accounts across Emmes' CRO and software portfolio.
• Meet or exceed annual sales, bookings, and revenue targets.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting and strategic account management.
• Identify opportunities before formal procurement processes.
• Develop territory plans and pursuit strategies aligned with growth objectives.
• Position Emmes as a differentiated provider of CRO services and technology solutions.
