Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture seeks a Director of Merchandise Finance to steer the inventory investment framework, define guardrails, and own the open-to-buy process. You will forecast, analyze, and present financial outcomes tied to merchandise planning, margins, and capital allocation.

This remote leadership role partners with Merchandising, Planning, Pricing, and IT to drive enterprise-wide financial discipline while managing a high-performing team and guiding strategic transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of FP&A, merchandise finance, or merchandise planning experience in retail.
• 3+ years of people-management experience, with talent development success.
• Proven ownership of inventory investment governance, open-to-buy, or similar processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory investment governance and open-to-buy processes across the enterprise.
• Set and govern investment envelopes, guardrails, approval thresholds, and reconciliations.
• Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align financial views.
• Provide executive-level insights on inventory productivity, risk, and opportunities.
