Job summary

Redwood Logistics, LLC is seeking a Director of LTL Services for our Managed Services division. This remote role oversees LTL operations across North America with travel as needed, leading a team and managing a $400M spend.

The successful candidate will drive carrier partnerships, optimize routing and scheduling, analyze data to cut costs, and collaborate with Finance and IT to deliver value across the network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of LTL transportation experience, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience managing large-scale LTL spend, ideally >= $100M.
• Strong knowledge of LTL carrier networks, pricing models and regulations.
• Ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize LTL operations and performance.
• Manage relationships with key LTL carriers and negotiate rates.
• Monitor and control the $400M LTL spend.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with ops, finance, and IT.
• Develop data-driven reports for senior management.
• Mentor and develop a team of LTL specialists.
