Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an LTL Manager for its Brokerage Division in the United States. You will lead a team of LTL Specialists, strengthen carrier and customer relationships, and drive profitability through data-driven process improvements and technology adoption.

You will oversee pricing strategies, network coverage, and onboarding compliance, collaborating with internal teams to align delivery commitments with customer expectations, while pursuing cost savings and performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of LTL brokerage, carrier management, or transportation operations experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of LTL pricing structures, tariffs, routing, and industry software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of LTL Specialists to achieve performance goals in service quality, margin growth, and operational efficiency.
• Build and sustain partnerships with LTL carriers to improve pricing, service levels, and network coverage.
• Develop and enhance relationships with key customers, collaborating on capacity, rate solutions, and proactive problem-solving.
• Utilize TMS and analytics tools to streamline workflows, improve visibility, and drive cost savings.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and execution capabilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by introducing new technologies or carrier programs.
• Oversee carrier onboarding and compliance to ensure standards are met.
• Forecast volume trends and develop strategic plans to manage capacity and margin.
