Job summary

Cargomatic is seeking a Director of LTL & Truckload to own daily transportation operations across FTL, OTR, local, and LTL. You will price moves, manage carrier networks, ensure compliance, and lead cross-functional execution with sales, dispatch, and customer service to move freight on time and within margin.

You will leverage a TMS and load boards to optimize capacity, own KPIs like on-time delivery and cost per mile, and mentor a team through complex freight movements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in freight brokerage or transportation operations, including 3+ years in a leadership or senior role owning day-to-day execution and margin.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations for FTL, OTR, local, and LTL across multiple accounts, from awarded freight through final delivery.
• Negotiate rates with asset-based carriers and third-party providers to protect margin without sacrificing service.
• Own onboarding end-to-end: contracts, insurance verification, FMCSA and safety review, operating authority, W-9, and system setup.
