Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an experienced business development professional to join our Growth Team. The role reports to the Business Development Leader and drives growth opportunities in High Growth Markets.

You will lead cross-functional teams and partner with capture, sales, engineering, program management and contracts to build pipelines and strategic relationships. The candidate will have 20+ years in Aerospace/Defense, with a strong background in BD, engineering, and strategy, and will

Qualifications

• Requires 20+ years in Aerospace and Defense industry across BD, Engineering, Program Management, Strategy or Sales of components to USG and Tier1 contractors.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Aerospace Engineering with concentration in Computer Science and/or Communications Systems.
• Extensive experience in national security space markets and knowledge of acquisition pathways (BAA, OTA, FAR).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams including Programs Managers, Engineering, Sales and PM
• Develop and execute engagement and growth strategy for High Growth Markets
• Drive executive engagements such as EXCOMM, trade shows, industry meetings
• Meet commitments to grow Mercury Pipeline with High Growth Market Accounts
• Provide quarterly updates to senior leadership on growth progress
• Drive early gate processes for new pursuits with internal and external customers
• Achieve KPIs to expand and convert pipeline aligned with priorities
• Minimum 50% travel
