Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a dynamic Fundraising Communications and Enablement Director to lead strategic fundraising messaging and materials across regional and national levels. This remote role directs communications plans, drives donor-focused campaigns, and partners with executives to advance philanthropic goals.

You will manage a skilled team, ensure consistent messaging, and collaborate with marketing to optimize engagement, all while upholding ARC standards and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Travel may be required.
• Excellent oral, presentation, and training skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop project plans, budgets, and strategic approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop comprehensive communications plans for fundraising initiatives.
• Mentor and develop a team of communications professionals.
• Partner with senior executives to ensure consistent messaging across initiatives.
• Utilize storytelling strategies to support fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with national and regional marketing teams to develop and execute fundraising communications campaigns.
• Manage complex, large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Oversee external communications and public relations activities.
