Job summary

Etherio is seeking a Director of Event Technology Solutions in Atlanta to lead a client-facing technology practice across meetings, incentives, conferences and associations. You will design and deliver complex registration sites, mobile apps, and integrations while guiding a growing team.

You will manage discovery, scoping, LOEs, and performance, partnering with clients and vendors to ensure scalable, compliant, and innovative experiences across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, information systems, business, or related field or equivalent experience/certifications.
• 8+ years in event technology within meetings/events, 3+ years leading staff.
• Expertise building in Cvent: registration, websites, attendee hub, mobile app, reporting, OnArrival/badging.
• Direct client-facing consultative experience: requirements gathering, scoping, LOE estimates, executive talks.
• Proven delivery of event technology across programs of varying size and complexity.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integration concepts; know when to use them.
• Understanding of data privacy and payment handling in registration.
• Experience managing software vendors/partners with scope and timelines.
• Excellent customer service, strong communication, and ability to translate between non-technical clients and vendors.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior event technology consultant translating goals into platform solutions and build plans.
• Lead technology discovery for new business with defensible build plans and cost estimates.
• Scope and estimate work including registration complexity, mobile app, integrations, onsite requirements.
• Advise clients on data collection, consent, payment handling and data sharing.
• Deliver post-event technology reporting and suggest improvements for next programs.
• Identify opportunities to expand technology services within existing accounts.
• Build and configure complex registration sites, event websites, and apps in Cvent and other platforms.
• Design registration workflows with multi-audience/multi-track paths, housing logic, and communications.
• Configure integrations with AMS, CRM, housing, and lead retrieval using REST APIs.
• Establish build standards, templates, and QA checklists for consistent delivery.
• Manage platform accounts and support partnerships, including licensing and releases.
• Lead, coach, and develop the event technology team; manage intake and resourcing.
