Job summary

Legend Biotech USA, Inc. is seeking a Director, Head of Commercial Training to set and lead the enterprise training strategy for commercial field roles and in-house teams.

The role sits on the Extended LT and partners with business operations and leadership to ensure impactful learning programs. The successful candidate will develop KPIs, oversee a training team and external partners, and drive capability-building across oncology and product launches while ensuring SOP compliance and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in Business, Life Sciences, Organizational Leadership, Education, or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive commercial experience in sales, clinical education, sales training, and/or marketing roles in-market.
• 7+ years Oncology experience.
• 7+ years of training, capability-building, or commercial leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading and managing a team.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Demonstrated ability to set strategy, lead teams and partners, and achieve objectives.
• Experience leading a commercial training function or team within Oncology or a specialty pharmaceutical organization.
• Experience developing and executing enterprise-wide commercial capability strategies.

Responsibilities

• Set the commercial training and capability-building strategy by identifying clinical, functional, and leadership knowledge gaps across the organization.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing commercial training team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Lead cross-functional development of training programs that drive learning and field success across therapy area, product knowledge, account management, and business acumen.
• Establish relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, and agencies to align priorities and ensure timely, high-quality learning programs.
• Oversee network of agency and vendor partners to support Legend's growth.
• Own resource planning, governance, and visibility of learning programs across cross-functional input and approvals.
• Develop learning measurement plans showing business impact of modules, programs, and frameworks.
• Direct solutions to address capability gaps across commercial field teams through training, partnerships, or other channels.
• Lead strategy and delivery of promotional training content for major Oncology events and product launches.
• Plan and deliver ongoing clinical and sales skills training for key annual commercial events, e.g., POA and FEM.
• Ensure all training complies with SOPs and is aligned with customer interaction standards.
• Feed curriculum development with coaching reports, ride-alongs, and knowledge checks.
• Maintain external-facing focus to evaluate training trends and translate into scalable opportunities.
