Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines, to serve as a national SME in Commercial P&C insurance and agency operations. The role partners with divisional leadership to standardize workflows, improve efficiency, and elevate client service while driving shareholder value.

This is a fully remote leadership position with preferred Central Time Zone hours. The ideal candidate holds an active Property & Casualty license, CPCU or CIC designation, and 5–7+ years in commercial

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategies with divisional and regional leaders.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models and capacity to support growth and excellence.
• Align resources with organizational goals and managed services where appropriate.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and industry best practices.
• Support M&A integration initiatives through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive adoption of new processes.
