Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to act as a national subject matter expert and strategic advisor. The role partners with leadership to drive workflow standardization, capacity planning, and operational excellence across the organization.

Preferred fully remote work within Central Time Zone, with onsite hybrid options per policy; requires active P&C license and designations, plus 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership at a large brokerage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration initiatives.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines ops strategy with leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvements to boost productivity, quality, and consistency.
• Analyze staffing, workload distribution, and service demands for capacity planning.
• Support merger and acquisition initiatives through integration planning.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Collaborate with producers, operations teams, and leadership on initiatives.
• Promote optimized use of EPIC and other tech tools.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
