Job summary

Centivo is seeking a Director of CMAS to own strategy, regulatory compliance, and performance for plan documents and related claims operations. You will manage two managers and partner with Legal, Compliance, and Client Success to ensure accurate, audit-ready outputs across all clients and plan types.

The role emphasizes leadership, governance, and continuous improvement, including automation and AI-enabled enhancements. This is a remote leadership position based in the United States.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in employee benefits compliance or related field.
• 5 years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, or teams.
• Deep knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, MSP, COBRA, the ACA, and WHCRA.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing plan document drafting (SBCs, SPDs, SMMs).
• Demonstrated experience overseeing claims audit, appeals, recoveries, subrogation, NSA, or quality assurance functions.
• Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong data literacy; ability to interpret operational and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own plan documents strategy, quality, and regulatory compliance for SPDs, SMMs, SBCs, and amendments.
• Ensure ERISA/IRS/HIPAA/ACA/WHCRA compliance and audit readiness across clients.
• Establish governance standards, review workflows, and quality checkpoints for plan documents.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Configuration, and Client Success to translate updates into outputs.
• Escalate complex issues and coordinate with stop loss carriers.
• Drive adoption of plan document tools and automation across CMAS.
