Job summary

National General is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive profitable growth by generating new business, cross-selling existing customers, and building lasting relationships. You will sell to local customers in person and by phone while expanding the pipeline through community involvement and outside marketing efforts.

Responsibilities include managing a consistent pipeline, prospecting, and partnering with leadership on sales and local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0– 2 years of experience
• P&C licensing preferred or must attain licensure within 90 days of joining the company

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
