Job summary

KIND seeks a Direct Response Manager to grow annual support from donors under $1,000 and manage a full fundraising and engagement program. The role partners with internal teams and an external agency to craft direct marketing strategies across digital channels, email, direct mail, SMS, and more.

The role reports to the Chief Development Officer and is remote within the United States, with funding contingent. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in nonprofit fundraising and strong analytics culture.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct response fundraising at a non-profit or marketing agency.
• Data-driven decision-maker who uses analytics to guide strategic decisions.
• Prior experience with CRMs, donation processing platforms, advocacy, and email marketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a comprehensive fundraising and engagement program.
• Collaborate with marketing agency and internal/external partners on campaigns.
• Review emails, donation pages and digital collateral for quality and brand consistency.
• Coordinate with leadership and major gifts to identify qualified donors.
• Audit digital fundraising collateral for evergreen content and relevance.
• Oversee content review across departments and track approvals in Asana.
• Provide materials to marketing agencies and oversee digital campaign assets.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders to support direct response programs.
• Track campaign performance and incorporate data into recommendations.
• Stay updated on best practices in fundraising technologies and channels.
• Assist with budgets and vendor invoicing.
