Job summary

KIND is seeking a Direct Response Manager to grow our fundraising and engagement program for donors giving under $1,000. You will lead multi‑channel campaigns, in collaboration with an agency and internal partners, to drive fundraising and advocacy while ensuring content quality across emails and digital collateral.

You will report to the Chief Development Officer in a fully remote role based in the United States, with funding contingent and a focus on data‑driven growth and donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct response fundraising at a non‑profit or marketing agency.
• Demonstrated experience with rapid response, email marketing, list building, writing and editing, and building a multi‑channel donor experience.
• Data‑driven decision‑maker who uses analytics to guide strategic decisions that align with digital goals, objectives, and initiatives.
• Prior experience with CRMs, donation processing platforms, advocacy, and email marketing platforms. KIND’s ecosystem includes Salesforce, Engaging Networks, and WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and engagement program to grow donor support under $1,000.
• Collaborate with an agency and internal partners to execute donor campaigns, monthly giving, acquisition and stewardship, and digital advocacy.
• Review final drafts of emails, donation pages, and digital collateral for quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with leadership and major gifts officers to identify qualified donors and support email marketing plans.
• Audit digital fundraising collateral to refresh evergreen content and improve user experience.
• Manage content review across departments, track feedback and approvals, and use Asana for deadlines.
• Provide materials to marketing agencies and oversee final digital products for fundraising campaigns.
• Partner with Communications to drive paid media, website content, and organic social strategies.
• Develop metrics framework to track performance and optimize campaigns using data.
• Analyze data to inform short- and long-term donor pathway growth and engagement.
• Stay current with fundraising and advocacy tech, including online giving, email solicitations, social media, and crowdfunding.
• Contribute to budgets and approve vendor invoices.
• Other duties as assigned.
