Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking a Simulation & Digital Twin Engineer to lead the development of high-fidelity vehicle models and autonomous scenarios.

You will own configuration management, build digital twin environments, integrate ROS2, and drive validation across disciplines with up to 10% travel and remote-work options.

A strong background in Python/C++, Linux, sensor modeling, and CI/CD is required; collaboration with engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Python, C++ or similar languages; ROS2, Linux, Git required.

Responsibilities

• Own simulation software configuration management, source control, build automation, and release processes.
• Build a high-fidelity digital twin of the vehicle and environment.
• Develop vehicle dynamics models for steering, braking, drivetrain, and responses.
• Create scalable scenario generation for autonomy verification and validation.
• Generate synthetic datasets supporting perception development.
• Ensure coverage of key autonomy modes and edge cases within ODD.
• Develop ground-truth and sensor models for camera, LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and IMU.
• Support virtual validation to reduce physical testing.
• Integrate ROS2 autonomy stack for closed-loop simulation.
