Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is seeking an engineer to own the intelligence of our autonomous systems, driving robust perception and reliable environment understanding for real-world operations.

You will develop automated data curation and labeling pipelines, evaluate vision-language and foundation-model autonomy, and implement model monitoring, drift detection, and RL/imitation learning to continuously improve performance. This role may involve remote work and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and Linux development environments.

Responsibilities

• Own autonomous system intelligence and robust perception models.
• Develop automated data curation, labeling, and data quality workflows.
• Evaluate and develop vision-language and foundation-model autonomy capabilities.
• Develop model monitoring and drift detection for deployed systems.
• Evaluate AI model performance for robustness, explainability, uncertainty, and safety.
• Maintain training pipelines using synthetic and real-world data.
• Establish a data -> train -> deploy continuous improvement loop.
• Implement imitation learning and RL-based policy optimization.
