Open Rights Group is seeking a Communications Assistant to publish social content across major platforms, draft materials, and support donor communications from a home-based role in the UK. You will help create accessible content aligned with the organisation’s voice and brand guidelines, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.

The role offers 30 hours per week, with a probation period and a salary in the £25k–£32k range, plus a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience publishing social content across multiple platforms.
• Clear writing, proofreading and ability to work with colleagues.
• Interest in technology, society and digital rights; commitment to inclusion and social justice.

Responsabilités

• Draft, edit and schedule social content across Mastodon, Reddit, Bluesky, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram; create simple graphics.
• Respond to online enquiries and maintain accessible content in the organisation’s voice.
• Prepare newsletters, petitions, email actions, donor reports with team input and impact statistics.
• Monitor press enquiries, pass opportunities to colleagues and assist with media materials; escalate sensitive matters.
