Job summary

Western Resource Advocates is seeking a Digital Engagement Specialist to grow our supporter base and manage an active email program. You will develop digital fundraising campaigns, optimize content for search and accessibility, and partner with Development, Marketing, and Government Affairs to expand our audience.

You will lead content creation, maintain donor engagement ladders, and drive online fundraising strategies while ensuring inclusive language and diverse perspectives across campaigns.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years' experience in web and email management and digital engagement.
• Proven ability to grow lists, segment audiences, and track trends using a CRM.
• Experience managing content creation with multiple collaborators.
• Experience with WordPress or other content management systems.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Commitment to inclusive language and DEI principles.
• Strong copywriting skills for emails, blogs, and web content.
• Attention to detail and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in developing email and action alert content for integrated digital campaigns.
• Identify, create, and implement email content and engagement strategies.
• Write digital marketing collateral, blogs, and webpages as needed.
• Oversee content production timelines with staff for website, email, alerts, and webinars.
• Optimize website content using SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices.
• Use analytics to identify opportunities and improve engagement and conversions.
• Develop marketing copy with inclusive language and collaborate cross‑functionally.
