Job summary

Western Resource Advocates seeks a Digital Engagement Specialist to engage supporters, grow email lists, and optimize the website for fundraising and advocacy.

You will collaborate with Development, Government Affairs, and program staff to produce content, manage campaigns, and analyze data to expand the constituency and advance MarComm goals.

Remote options exist within a seven‑state region and travel is required for collaboration and events.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in web and email management with ability to craft digital engagement strategies.
• Experience with marketing CRMs (Every Action, Action Network, Salsa, Salesforce) and growing lists.
• Experience coordinating content creation with multiple collaborators.
• Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms; basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
• Strong copywriting skills for emails, blogs, and digital content.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and inclusive language.

Responsibilities

• Lead in developing email and action alert content for integrated digital campaigns across the web for advocacy and fundraising.
• Lead in identifying, creating, and implementing email content and engagement strategies.
• Write digital marketing collateral, such as blogs and static webpages.
• Oversee content production management and timelines with staff to develop collateral for website, email, and webinars.
• Assist with SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies to improve visibility across search engines and AI-powered platforms.
• Leverage analytics to identify opportunities and improve engagement and conversion rates.
• Maintain marketing CRM, including data cleanliness and segmentation; develop dashboards to track effectiveness.
