Job summary

Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to lead infrastructure and deployment modernization for the US Coast Guard portfolio within the Contracting Writing System (CWS) ecosystem.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and governing robust CI/CD pipelines and Software Factories, embedding security, and driving cloud adoption across programs, while mentoring teams in Kubernetes, Docker, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, IT, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with Linux/Windows servers and scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
• Knowledge of AWS and container tech; CI/CD concepts and security-focused DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern robust CI/CD pipelines and Software Factories.
• Embed security into SDLC with SAST/DAST and compliance checks.
• Standardize deployment across programs with unified artifact management and configs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on cloud-native architectures and automation.
• Advise executives on DevOps maturity, security, and cloud adoption.
