Job summary

Bixal is seeking a Director of DevSecOps to build and lead our practice in support of federal engagements. You will recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing team while defining strategy and technical direction across programs.

You will own architecture standards, cloud-native platforms, and security governance (NIST/FISMA/FedRAMP), enabling modern, scalable solutions for complex clients. A strong people-first leadership style is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of DevSecOps, cloud/ platform engineering or SRE.
• 5+ years people management in technical teams.
• 3+ years with federal government contracts.
• End-to-end cloud architecture ownership.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and IaC, CI/CD, containers.
• Strong communication and leadership.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevSecOps practice, recruiting, onboarding, and staffing across projects.
• Mentor engineers and create growth paths.
• Foster ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing in partnership with leadership and finance.
• Set performance expectations and support career development.
