Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to join our global DevOps team.

You will architect scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for SaaS platforms and lead the adoption of best-in-class DevOps practices across the organization. You will implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, scale containerized microservices across geographic regions using Kubernetes and Docker, and promote IaC with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps, while partnering with engineering, QA and product teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years DevOps experience (or Masters 4+, PhD 1+)
• 2+ years scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

• Implement end-to-end CI/CD workflows in a large-scale, distributed environment with zero downtime
• Scale microservice platforms across regions, focusing on Kubernetes, cost optimization, and automated scaling
• Lead cross-functional DevOps projects from inception to completion with clear KPIs
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to streamline delivery pipelines
• Advocate IaC with tools like Terraform, Helm, and GitOps frameworks
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new DevOps tools to increase resilience and productivity
• Integrate AI-assisted tooling and AIOps into day-to-day DevOps and incident response
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Serve as SME promoting ownership and collaboration
