Job summary

Ripjar is hiring a DevOps Engineer to automate deployment and maintenance of hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will manage Linux hosts, design and maintain IP networks, and enable self-service for development teams using IaC and configuration management tools.

The role emphasizes integrating security testing into pipelines, monitoring reliability and security of services, and contributing to incident response for a complex microservice architecture. Fully remote with UK-wide consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux hosts (virtual and physical).
• Extensive IaC and CM tooling experience (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure).
• Experience managing containerised apps (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with IP networking in a corporate environment.
• Ability to automate tasks with Bash, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of security testing and monitoring tooling (SAST, SIEM).
• Familiarity with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
• Incident response across complex microservice architectures is a plus.
