Job summary

Ripjar is seeking a DevOps Engineer to ensure the reliability and security of our hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will automate deployment, operate and maintain systems, and design scalable networks to support our data-driven software.

You will implement IaC, configure monitoring, and integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines. This role is remote-first with a Cheltenham head office option and offers strong benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

As a DevOps Engineer at Ripjar you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of the infrastructure that underpins our development and operational services. You will play an active role in supporting and continuously improving our core infrastructure offering
providing a solid foundation upon which we can deliver cutting-edge solutions to our customers. Automate the deployment, operation and maintenance of systems in a hybrid cloud environment using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling. Administer systems and applications hosted on Linux-based systems. Design, deploy and maintain IP networks. Improve code security by integrating security testing tools into build and deployment pipelines. Implement effective monitoring of the reliability and security of applications and infrastructure services. We can work in partnership to identify your strengths and provide you with the training necessary to fill any gaps. Strong experience of administering and securing Linux hosts on both virtual and physical infrastructure. Extensive experience using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling, e.g. AWS, Azure. Experience of administering IP networking in a corporate environment. Experience of automating tasks using
languages and tools such as Bash, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub Actions.
