Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a Development Manager to drive its fundraising strategy, manage peer-to-peer and community events, and grow donor relations from Sacramento, CA. This remote role supports nationwide campaigns and collaborates with Marketing, Care Services, and Advancement to maximize impact.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in fundraising and event management, strong data analysis and reporting skills, and a passion for making ALS livable and curable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years of fundraising, event management, volunteer development, and donor cultivation experience.
• Proficiency with donor databases and reporting to build outreach plans.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive plan to meet an income portfolio goal of $250,000+ across events and fundraising initiatives.
• Recruit, steward, and retain volunteers, team captains, sponsors, and donors.
• Coordinate event logistics including budget, site planning, permits, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Care Services and Advancement for integrated campaigns.
• Represent the Association at community events to raise awareness and support.
• Prepare and distribute promotional materials for events and campaigns.
• Work within the Territory team on multi-state development efforts as needed.
• Analyze event performance weekly with leadership to drive future growth.
• Attend all events and meetings as assigned; perform other duties to support fundraising goals.
