Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Development Lead for an Agile Development Team. The role focuses on leading daily technical activities, developing cloud-native features, and coordinating across teams to ensure a cohesive product experience.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of software development in Agile settings, strong DevSecOps expertise, and proven leadership. This remote, contingent position may require travel, with a March 2027 start date and opportunities

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience developing software in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a DevSecOps environment.
• Demonstrated team leadership experience in an agile environment.
• Desired experience managing a codebase as if it were open source.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily technical activities of an Agile product team, driving development, testing, and deployment of cloud-native features.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to refine user stories, estimate level of effort, and ensure predictable sprint delivery.
• Ensure all development adheres to DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, secure coding standards, and modern cloud architecture patterns.
• Promote code quality via peer reviews, reusable patterns, shared components, and strong documentation aligned with Definition of Done.
• Coordinate cross-team integration efforts to ensure product alignment, consistent user experience, and smooth release management.
