Job summary

National 4-H Council is seeking a Development Director to lead new business development and advance partnerships supporting the Beyond Ready initiative. You will oversee a portfolio of national prospects, engage C-suite executives, and drive multi-year, multi-million-dollar gifts to fund mission-critical programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years securing multi-million-dollar, multi-year corporate/foundation partnerships; experience building national partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development to support a $50M+ fundraising goal and a $5M individual target annually.
• Manage a portfolio of 90–100 national prospects from outreach through close.
• Develop sophisticated fundraising strategies combining philanthropy, corporate engagement, and program priorities.
• Cultivate relationships with C-suite executives and senior leaders; coordinate with executives and cross-functional teams.
• Lead proposals, negotiations, and donor stewardship with internal stakeholders.
• Mentor and lead team members; collaborate across program, marketing, digital, relationship management and finance teams.
